I am sorry I could not join you but Sally and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversity with friends sailing down the Danube River through Eastern Europe to the Black Sea. It has alot of rich history and diversity.  I retired after 32 years at Cal State University and enjoying every minute of it.  See you at the next reunion. Rich

The reunion committee really outdid themselves today.  Except for the hot weather, everything seemed to go off without a hitch!  But having so many great people there really helped get us through the hot day easier!  I really enjoyed seeing friends and reaquainting with several others!  Very well organized - and all the food - appetizers and catered food - was sooo good!!  THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK TO SET THIS UP!  I look forward to another one - hopefully in the next couple years :-)

Dear Classmates:  Have been living in Georgetown, TX (near Austin) the past 12 years in a Sun City and love it.  Our daughter, husband and 3 grands live nearby.  Our son and his family (3 more grands) live in Champaign, IL.  Our grands are ages 11-18, and we have 3 boys and 3 girls.  What a blessing!

Sean and I are celebrating 52 years in June and still very active.  Especially enjoy duplicate bridge, golf, swim aerobics, historical novels and are very active in our church as well.  We also  started a boosters club for Southwestern University (a private liberal arts university in our hometown here) and spend lots of time cheering on their various sporting events.  Perhaps my greatest passion, however, is for the community cancer support group I started 2 years ago.

I think back on our high school days with such fond memories and have attended many reunions including our 50th.  Wish I could be at the "Birthday Bash" but will not be in CA then.  Would love to hear from any of you!

Hi Ruth,  regretfully I won't be in Calif in August and will miss the do at Judys.   If this changes I will get in touch.  I am living in Stroud, UK and California too, with my wife Sharon.  I worked as an engineer in Berkeley until 2000 when I retired and traveled a bit to Europe and the Uk.  Met Sharon on the plane, sitting in my seat, chatted her up, and have'nt left her side since.  Stroud seems a lot like Berkeley, full of artists and poets, lovely old Cotswold village. Couldnt be happier.  My warmest regards to you and my classmates, hope to meet up someday soon. ,Don

Dear Ruth and all the SLHS committee members:  Great website. Would love to come to the 75th birthday bash, but it is right in the middle of our peak season (June-July-August) at Echo Lake. We have owned the resort for over 30 years. I retired this year from active medical practice (Cardiology / Internal Medicine), but still keep my license and CME current.  Kat and I have two sons, Tyler (28) who is beginning to take over most activities at Echo Chalet, and Scott (26) who works and lives in Napa. Be sure to stop in and say hello if ever traveling to Echo or South Lake Tahoe.

Hi All:  Just found all these great messages and it has been fun to read about where everyone has settled and how many grandchildren everyone has!!  I live on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe near Homewood and hope that you will come to the Wooden Boat Show this August 7 & 8, 2015.  It will be a week before the SLHS Birthday Party. Look for Obexer's Marina to find the beautiful antique wooden boats.  We have been skiing this winter at Squaw Valley and Alpine and really enjoying our times out there, even though we have had too little snow.  Hope to see you in Tahoe.  Nancy Reesink Cunningham

Hi former classmates.  In April 2008 I retired. I am currently doing volunteer work with my church and another organization.  I had a terrible auto accident shortly after I retired and am now handicapped in many ways that lilmits my doing many things I have always wanted to do.  Memories are a wonderful thing and my past is filled with many of them.

This is a real eye opener and trip down memory lane.  I am sorry to have read of the passing of John Brumfield (a fellow traveler and mentor in the the "White Bucks") and of Patsy Englehart,  one of the nicest and most caring friends I had in High School.  Thanks for the memories....

Hi Class of '58.... I attended San Leandro schools from 5th grade through 10th grade.  My dad moved us to Concord in 1956....I thought we had moved to the moon....  I have always cherished my memories of San Leandro and plan on attending the 50th reunion with my best girlfriend Marilyn Sanders.
I went to James A. Garfield Elementry and would love to see some of the gang from the neighborhood (Mulford Gardens, and Bonaire).  Does anyone out there remember me???  This is a great website.  I would love to hear from anyone.....:o)

During all my schooling (military, high school, college) San Leandro High was the best experience ever. Mr. Vaz, Mr. Sorres (sp?), Mr. Levine, "Kiss Me Kate", weekend trips to Santa Cruz or San Francisco, the SF earthquake (1957), writing music with Hank Jones and Dean Thompson, eating at Prings, going steady with Sandy and then Anah...what a great time and experience!
