60th CLASS REUNION

MARCH 22, 2018

Hello SLHS Class of 1958 Classmates...

Please visit our photo page with our 60th Reunion pictures.

If your picture is not there, it's because you did not come or didn't have your picture taken after checking in to get your name tag and tickets.

Like all of our previous Reunions,  this one started the day before with those of you who came in early to stay at the hotel  or who live nearby who just drop in to see if there is any action going on or to offer help........and this is what happened with this reunion.

After we (the Committee) checked in the day of the 21st , unloaded all so we could start decorating, finalizing things,  and getting the room set up "our way" we, along with others who were around headed to Horatio's for Happy Hour and dinner.......and that is the way this Reunion started.

On the 22nd, we started off  early with Breakfast at the hotel, most of the Committee got busy doing their last minute touches while those who had come in for the Reunion along with more Classmates began visiting and our 60th SLHS 1958 Class Reunion was definitely started.

Not many other high school graduates  can bragg and say that at their 60th Class Reunion there was 80 people who attended their 60th Reunion.  And, as usual with our class the visiting never ends.  If only we could tap into all the stories, it would enlighten so many who could not be there.

We opened the Check-In Table early.   The Room was opened up and looked so beautiful with white table cloths and Red and Blue napkins.  Ned Nuddleman's wife, Pat,  Connie (Carl) Carlsonand Sharon (Ottis) Vonnegut set the SLHS color pallette  and Pirate theme up with additional flowers  and table decor.  We so THANK the three of them for making the room so classy.

Luckily Judy (Temple) Ireland was able to hire a great Bar, Bartender and Bar Maid.  They were so accommodating and Judy insisted that Judy's Travel would provide the bar deposit.   Drinks were very reasonable.  Also, at the same time the doors opened to our Reunion room, Len and Linda Fadda had set out the Hor d'oeuvres that they provided with Linda making them personally.....and we also want to THANK Sharon for helping out here also.

After a while the Dinner servers motioned that they were ready to start serving and we all began to find our seats.   Dinner started with a beautiful Salad and  Breads followed by our Dinner which was catered by Miraglia Catering.   Everyone said it was great, flavorful and beautifully presented...but especially hot where it should be hot.  Plates of Cookies finished off the dinner hour and that started the table hopping and the continuation of the "Reunion"

After the tables were cleared Ruth took  the microphone thanked all for coming for all the Committee and went around to each table and EACH Classmate spoke.   it was so special to hear from each one, be introduced to their spouses and hear what they have been doing with their lives.    How wonderful that would have been to have that taped to play to all.    There is a section on the Website called "All About Me" .

We were definitely thanked and reassured that this Reunion was enjoyed by all.

We THANK all of you who came, missed all of you who could not make it, and hope you enjoy the pictures of the Reunion along with the Website.

Your Committee

Also, as with other Reunions, this one continued on with a 15 Day Hawaii cruise which was enjoyed by 31 mostly classmates and friends.  The Cruise included a number of January Graduates that expressed that they wished they had also attended the Reunion.
